I'm definitely hoping to see this come about. I am an iPhone owner who hopes to see the near future bring about many new iPhone features.

Thanks for the link and the nice write-up. Our videoconference via Skype went off today without a hitch. I'm going to be doing a lot more of this. It's like the Jetsons.

I have set up a website to try and pull the Ojo community together to get the phones working again. It may not work, but it is worth a try! Please visit if you are interested:

This is what I’m talking about when I said sooner or later, technology will come up with a solution that would address the problem of having the feeling of being restricted to one’s seat when doing presentations. I, for one, prefer to move around when I am explaining things trying to prove a point. And the price is a lot more reasonable compared to the prevalent conference call pricing that gets too expensive the more you need video conferencing services.

Indeed, The Associated Press reported that text message traffic sent in the first minutes of 2008 clogged the network to the point that some messages did not arrive at all. This raises questions on the reliability of text messaging in emergency situations which I always considered having a better chance of getting through than voice traffic.
